Boy, 13, dies at Munich hotel as police investigate homicide

A 13-year-old boy was found dead beside a seriously injured woman at a hotel near Munich’s main railway station. Police are investigating the circumstances as a homicide, while reports that the case involved an attempted murder-suicide remain unconfirmed.

Officers were called to the Eden Hotel Wolff at about 9.40am. Police described the woman as a relative of the boy; a newspaper reported she was his mother, but investigators have not confirmed this or the suspected sequence of events. She was taken to hospital, forensic specialists attended and police are reviewing CCTV footage. A post-mortem examination is planned, and the investigation is ongoing.
