An Australian tourist aged 74 was injured during an alleged bag-snatching attempt in Sanur, Bali, a popular tourist destination on the island's southeast coast. CCTV footage captured the incident as the victim was attacked from behind by a person on a motorbike, who attempted to steal her bag. Although the tourist sustained injuries, she managed to hold onto her belongings, and no theft occurred.

Gisela Morhke was walking along Bumi Ayu Street on 21 September at approximately 4:52pm when a motorbike approached from behind and the occupant attempted to snatch her bag. According to South Denpasar Police investigator First Inspector Azel Arisandi, Ms Morhke suffered injuries to her right forehead and right elbow as a result of the incident. Her determination to retain her bag prevented any loss of property, despite the physical assault.
