CHIODOS Kick Off A New Era With SHARPTONE RECORDS Signing And First New Single In Over A Decade, ‘Tapdat’

Blabbermouth · 6 hours ago

Post-hardcore band CHIODOS have signed to SharpTone Records and released "Tapdat", their first new single in more than a decade, alongside an official music video. The move marks the start of a new chapter for the band, building on a resurgence that began in 2024, and comes after a run of milestones that have reintroduced the group to a new generation of heavy music fans.

The single was produced by Keith Sorrells, known for work with Demi Lovato, Jutes and Kami Kehoe, and features frontman Craig Owens's distinctive vocals alongside more melodic, cinematic sections. It follows a 20th-anniversary tour celebrating the band's debut album "All's Well That Ends Well", festival appearances at Warped Tour, Louder Than Life and When We Were Young, and the recent RIAA gold certification of their earlier hit "Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute On The Creek". CHIODOS will support the release with a North American headline tour starting 30 July in Denver and running through September, joined by Second Harbour, Sace6 and 156/Silence.
