Chloe Fineman, who announced on Thursday that she is departing "Saturday Night Live" after seven seasons, has landed her first major post-SNL role. Netflix confirmed on Monday that she will join the cast of Myron Bolitar, an upcoming series adaptation of Harlan Coben's thriller novels, as a series regular. The casting marks a significant step for Fineman as she moves from sketch comedy into a dramatic ensemble series following her long-running stint on the NBC show.

Fineman will play Parker Quinn, a determined sports reporter, alongside fellow new series regulars Jabari Banks and Jamie McShane, with Ben McKenzie joining as a recurring guest star. The show, based on Coben's novels starting with 1995's "Deal Breaker" and centred on a former NBA star turned sports agent, is co-showrun by David E. Kelley and Kyle Long, with Colin Woodell starring as Bolitar alongside KJ Apa and Diane Guerrero. Fineman, who joined SNL in 2019, has also appeared in films including "Freakier Friday," "Babylon," "Despicable Me 4" and "Search Party," and said in an Instagram post that leaving the show "does feel like the right time."
