Chris Stapleton brought rising country singer Zach Top on stage in Toronto for a duet of “I Ain’t Living Long Like This”, a Rodney Crowell song made famous by Waylon Jennings. The performance honoured Jennings’ continuing influence on country music while highlighting Stapleton and Top’s growing professional friendship, prompting fans to call for a future studio collaboration.

The duet took place at Rogers Stadium on 5 August during Stapleton’s 2026 All American Road Show, after he had also shared the stage with Guns N’ Roses. Top, whose traditional-country-leaning single “Sounds Like the Radio” reached the top 20 of the US Country Airplay chart, will continue touring with Stapleton until 14 August in Boston before resuming his own tour, which ends in Nashville on 30 October.
