Chvrches Drop New Single ‘Overthinker’ From First Album in Nearly 6 Years: Listen

Billboard ·

Chvrches have released “Overthinker”, the second single from their upcoming fifth album, *All the King’s Men*. The synth-driven song explores family relationships and depression, offering a personal focus after lead single “Roses” addressed social issues. The album, due on 22 January, will be the Scottish trio’s first in almost six years.

The release followed an invite-only charity show in Glasgow, where the band debuted eight songs from the album and performed with Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil. Chvrches will play another intimate show in London on 29 October, then tour North America from February and the UK and Ireland before concluding at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 6 May. Their previous four albums all reached the UK top 10; *Screen Violence* and *Every Open Eye* peaked at No. 4.
