Cinema Guild Takes North American Rights on Éric Baudelaire’s ‘For the Moon’ Ahead of New York Film Festival Launch (EXCLUSIVE)
Cinema Guild has acquired North American distribution rights to Éric Baudelaire’s documentary “For the Moon” ahead of its premiere in the Currents section of the New York Film Festival. The deal will bring the film to cinemas and other platforms, extending the reach of a work that examines perception and image-making through collaboration with visually impaired young people.
Made with five students from Paris’s National Institute for the Young Blind, the documentary combines observation and collective invention while questioning how people understand the world beyond sight. Baudelaire, a Paris-based US-born artist and filmmaker, previously made “Letters to Max” and “A Flower in the Mouth”; Cinema Guild said it was honoured to distribute the new film.

Éric Baudelaire is a US-born artist and filmmaker based in Paris whose work often combines documentary with questions about memory, politics and how images shape understanding. His films include Letters to Max and A Flower in the Mouth, and he has also worked in photography and visual art.
