Mitch Neuhauser will retire after CinemaCon 2028, ending a long career leading the annual gathering of cinema exhibitors and studios. He has overseen the event’s growth since 2009 and helped bring it back in August 2021 as cinemas emerged from the Covid pandemic, when the theatrical industry was under pressure from streaming.

Neuhauser began working in the industry in 1981 and helped transform ShoWest into CinemaCon in 2011. Cinema United has named Matt Pollock Co-Managing Director immediately; he will work with Neuhauser during the handover and take over the lead role in 2028. The next listed edition is scheduled for 12–15 April 2027 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
