Braden Peters, a "looksmaxxing" influencer known online as Clavicular, has been charged in Massachusetts with rape, drugging a person for sex, and providing alcohol to a minor following an incident on 23 May 2025. The 20-year-old's arraignment is scheduled for 14 October. The charges coincide with a separate civil lawsuit filed in Florida by an 18-year-old woman who alleges Peters injected her with an FDA-unapproved fat-dissolving substance without consent during a livestream and engaged in nonconsensual sexual conduct whilst she was intoxicated.

Peters has denied wrongdoing, claiming he has not been formally served and characterising the allegations as attempts to extort money. He has posted on X social media platform sharing messages and videos he says show the accuser was willing and grateful for his actions. If convicted of the rape charge in the Massachusetts case, Peters faces a maximum sentence of twenty years in prison. This is not his first legal trouble; he was previously charged with unlawful firearm discharge for shooting an alligator in the Florida Everglades and was hospitalised in April following an apparent overdose during a livestream.
