The documentary Closure follows Daniel Dymiński’s determined search for his missing teenage son, Chris, who was last seen on a bridge over Warsaw’s Vistula River. Directed by Michał Marczak, the film has received major festival recognition and is being viewed as a potential Oscar contender, with a US theatrical release scheduled for 28 October.

Chris was captured by security cameras on Gdańsk Bridge, but disappeared during a gap of several minutes, leaving open the possibility that he either walked away or fell into the river. Daniel uses drones, GPS trackers and homemade equipment to search the river, while his family confronts the possibility that they may never learn what happened; Marczak became involved after meeting Daniel by chance and spent a year documenting the search.
