NWOBHM veterans Cloven Hoof have announced their tenth studio album, "Never A Prophet In Your Own Land", due for release on 25 September 2026 via High Roller Records. The record features vocalist Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin, also of Jag Panzer, who has now fronted the band for three and a half years, and its lead single "Iron Mask" has been released with an accompanying lyric video.

Bassist Lee Payne describes the ten-track album as varied, blending mid-tempo songs, faster numbers and epic compositions, and says it draws more inspiration from 1989's "A Sultan's Ransom" than the band's darker 2024 release "Heathen Cross". Formed in 1979 as Nightstalker before adopting the Cloven Hoof name in 1981, the band has released albums steadily since their 1984 debut, including a 1990s split and 2006 reunion, with Payne praising Conklin's vocal range and stage presence.
