Clutch have announced their fourteenth studio album, *Wasted Lands*, due on 22 January 2027 through their own Weathermaker Music. They have also released the riff-driven title track and an accompanying music video, signalling a continuation of the Maryland rock band’s heavy, groove-focused sound.

Recorded at the band’s Frederick, Maryland studio, the Doom Saloon, the album reunites Clutch with producer Gene “Machine” Freeman for the first time since 2015’s *Psychic Warfare*. The record combines weighty riffs with stronger melodic elements, introduces banjo to the band’s music on “Beware The Fever”, and explores themes ranging from abandoned industrial towns and horror creatures to outer space.
