CMLL talents look to increase popularity among American pro wrestling fans with latest opportunity

Fox News · 5 hours ago

Mexico’s long-running wrestling promotion CMLL is using its partnership with AEW and access to the MyAEW streaming platform to reach more fans in the United States. The move builds on CMLL wrestlers appearing on AEW and Ring of Honor shows, and follows the promotion’s first standalone Las Vegas event during WrestleMania weekend.

CMLL events, including Fantastica Mania Mexico 2026 and its anniversary show on 18 September, have been added to MyAEW’s schedule. Champion Thunder Rosa said this gives American viewers a clearer way to find CMLL, while commentator Miguel Castro identified low brand recognition as a key barrier to growth in the US. He said CMLL focuses strongly on in-ring sport and sells out Arena México despite having little, if any, advertising budget.

  • CMLL is expanding its US reach through AEW and MyAEW.
  • More CMLL events are now available to American viewers.
  • Brand recognition remains a challenge despite strong live audiences.
