Variety · 5 hours ago

CNN has appointed Italian journalist Stefano Pozzebon as an international correspondent based in its Rome bureau, as part of the network's push to strengthen its European news coverage. He will cover major stories in Italy and across Europe for CNN's linear and digital platforms, working alongside CNN Vatican Correspondent Christopher Lamb, who leads coverage of the Vatican and the papacy of Pope Leo.

Pozzebon, 35, studied International Journalism at City University, London, and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. He previously contributed to CNN from Bogotá and Caracas, reporting extensively across Latin America, including recent coverage of twin earthquakes in Venezuela, Colombia's presidential election, and developments following the capture of Nicolás Maduro by US forces. He was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 Italy list in 2017 and was nominated for a 2016 Livingston Award.
