Coach who helped Sinner to the top set to depart
Darren Cahill will leave Jannik Sinner’s coaching team at the end of the year, ending a partnership that helped the Italian reach the top of men’s tennis. Since Cahill joined in 2022, Sinner has won five Grand Slam titles and spent 95 weeks as world number one.
The 61-year-old Australian had planned to leave at the end of 2025, but agreed to stay through this year after Sinner won Wimbledon. Sinner, 25, has been out with injury since winning the title in July and is expected to return at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia next month. Swede Magnus Norman, who coached Stan Wawrinka for many years, will join the team next season.
