COAL CHAMBER’s MIKEY COX To Miss Shows After Shattering His Femur

Blabbermouth ·

Coal Chamber drummer Mikey “Bug” Cox will miss two upcoming performances after shattering his femur in a fall during a basketball game with his son. His injury comes as he continues recovering from cancer treatment, and the band will proceed with a replacement drummer.

Cox said he required emergency surgery and had three pins inserted, and expects not to walk for at least six weeks. Davier Pérez Ortega of DevilDriver will play at Sick New World Texas on 24 October and the Anaheim show on 31 October; Cox hopes to attend the latter. He was diagnosed with stage three cancer in April 2025 and later said he was cancer-free after treatment and surgery.
