Staff and students at The Sheffield College have raised more than £5,500 for Sheffield Hospitals Charity since beginning a two-year partnership in March 2026. The money supports charities that provide additional funding for local NHS hospitals and services, while the college says the activities also help students develop confidence and employability skills.

Fundraising has included the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, boxing and circuit events, golf, cake sales, raffles, a family fun day and a sponsored Five Weirs Walk. Eighteen sports staff aged 19 to 65 completed the 24-mile Three Peaks route, while catering and hospitality students sold homemade marmalade and chocolates. The college plans to continue fundraising through the Sheffield 10k on 27 September.
