Comedian Jack Assadourian Jr. has announced that his debut stand-up special, "Mexican Armenian," will premiere on YouTube on 17 September. The special, directed by fellow comedian Jeremiah Watkins, sees Assadourian explore the overlaps between his Mexican and Armenian heritage, drawing on stories of his multicultural upbringing, family life and raising his own Mexican-Armenian children as he pokes fun at both sides of his background.

The special was filmed at The Alex Theater in Glendale, California, Assadourian's hometown, with Watkins directing and producing alongside Miles Williams. Assadourian, an up-and-coming stand-up with more than 400,000 social media followers, has performed at Netflix Is a Joke Fest and appeared on Netflix, Prime Video and Hulu, as well as podcasts including "About Last Night with Adam Ray" and "The Church of What's Happening Now with Joey Diaz." The special premieres at 12pm PT.
