Comedian Rick Glassman says his podcast, Take Your Shoes Off, works best when interviews feel like an enjoyable first date, with playful banter, curiosity and mutual “flirting” rather than formal questioning. Speaking while performing at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival, he said this approach helps create genuine connections and may also reveal potential creative collaborators for future film or television projects.

Glassman cited recent guests including Alison Brie, Lisa Gilroy, Adam Ray, Nick Kroll and showrunner Bill Lawrence, and said repeat appearances are particularly rewarding. He is touring Europe with his comedy show Ricky’s on the Loose before returning for an undisclosed television role; his previous screen credits include recurring parts in The Comedians and Nobodies.
