‘Coming out coach’ charges women hundreds for support navigating late in life lesbian transitions
Anne-Marie Zanzal runs paid online coaching and support groups for women coming out as lesbians later in life, including women who are married and have children. Her services focus on exploring sexual identity and making decisions about relationships, family and living authentically.
Zanzal began the business in 2018, after coming out at 52 following nearly 30 years of marriage and raising four children. Her offerings include a $400 private online membership, a 16-week coaching programme, $150 clarity calls and $77 self-paced courses. A client said the coaching helped her think about how her children might respond; commentator Ben Ferguson criticised the service, while Democratic strategist Kaivan Shroff offered a different perspective.
