Common, Patti LaBelle and Public Enemy will be honoured at the 2026 Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) Gala, taking place on 24 September 2026 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event, presented by Live Nation and hosted by radio personality Kenny Burns, marks the sixth annual edition of the gala, which BMAC co-founder Willie "Prophet" Stiggers described as "a call to action" recognising industry figures who use their influence to create real opportunity and change.

Common will receive the BMAC Harry Belafonte Change Agent Award, LaBelle the BMAC Icon Award, and Public Enemy the BMAC Social Impact Award. Industry executives will also be honoured, including Interscope's Nicole Wyskoarko, who becomes the inaugural recipient of the new Sylvia Rhone Visionary Award, named after the pioneering executive who led Epic, Motown and Elektra Records before retiring last year. Other honourees include Empire's Tina Davis, a five-person team receiving the BMAC Founders Award, and Universal Music Group's Global Impact Team. Proceeds will support BMAC's community initiatives, including a guaranteed income programme and its Restore & Rebuild LA effort for Altadena residents affected by the Eaton Fires.
