Control Resonant becomes the fastest-selling game in Remedy’s history, outpacing Alan Wake 2 and the original Control
Control Resonant has sold more than 1 million copies in roughly three weeks, making it the fastest-selling game in Remedy Entertainment’s 31-year history. The milestone is notable because the game launched during a crowded release period and is the studio’s first self-published release on this scale.
Remedy did not disclose sales by platform or the split between digital and physical copies. Its previous fastest seller, Alan Wake 2, took about two months to reach 1 million sales in 2023; the original Control sold 2 million by the end of 2020, around 15 months after launch. CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon said the launch had brought in both established fans and new players, and reaffirmed the studio’s focus on its Control and Alan Wake franchises.
- Control Resonant passed 1 million sales in about three weeks.
- It is Remedy’s fastest-selling game to date.
