Control Resonant is over double the length of the original

Polygon · 5 hours ago

Remedy Entertainment says Control Resonant’s main story will take about 30 hours, more than double the roughly 12-hour campaign of 2019’s Control. The longer running time signals a substantially larger sequel, reflecting Remedy’s shift to a new protagonist, setting and combat system while retaining links to the original game.

Lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov estimated that completionists could spend around 50 hours in Resonant, compared with under 30 hours for a completionist run of Control. The sequel is set across open-ended zones in New York City rather than the more enclosed Oldest House, creating greater scope for exploration and optional activities; it launches on 24 September for PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.

  • Control Resonant’s campaign is expected to last about 30 hours.
  • Completionists may spend roughly 50 hours in the sequel.
  • It launches on 24 September for current-generation platforms.
