Police were called to Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff's $8 million Malibu home on Friday night after security staff reported a woman had attempted to gain access to the property. The incident comes months after Donald Trump revoked Harris's Secret Service protection in August 2025, ahead of schedule, raising questions about the level of security now in place at her residence.

According to Harris's spokesperson, security personnel stopped the woman before she reached the house itself, though other reports say she made it as far as the front door. She had reportedly arrived by Uber, was persuaded to leave voluntarily, but returned shortly afterwards, prompting security to call the LAPD. Deputies who attended around 10.30pm found she again complied and left; no arrests or citations were made, and her identity and motive remain unknown. Neither Harris nor Emhoff were home at the time, and local police say patrols of the property are being stepped up.
