corto.alto And Jacob Alon Combine On Reflective Song ‘NOBLEHILL’
Scottish jazz-rooted producer corto.alto has released "NOBLEHILL", a reflective new track featuring vocals from Mercury-nominated, BRIT-winning songwriter Jacob Alon, ahead of his forthcoming album "SOME SMALL FORTUNE". The song is presented as a genuine collaboration, with corto.alto saying he set out to work properly with artists he admires rather than dictate every element himself, and the pairing blends his intricate production with Alon's emotive delivery, shifting between hazy electronics and more club-influenced sounds.
The album, due for release on 4th September, also features Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins on its lead single and further guest input from artist BINA. "NOBLEHILL" arrives with an accompanying video that mirrors its introspective themes, using gradually cut-up childhood photographs of corto.alto to reveal the process behind the album's artwork. He will support the release with a run of UK in-store shows in September, including dates in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Bristol and at Rough Trade on London's Denmark Street on 19th September.
