Country Singer Stops Colorado Concert, Demands Disruptive Fans Be Removed Before Continuing

American Songwriter ·

Paul Cauthen paused his concert in Grand Junction, Colorado, to confront two fans who were talking and arguing during his performance. He said their behaviour was disturbing other people who had paid to hear the music, and refused to continue until they left.

Cauthen first asked the pair to be quiet, then stopped playing “Prayed For Rain” and called for security. They were removed, allowing the show to resume. The incident drew support from some fans online, while Cauthen remarked that he could hear the argument through his in-ear monitors.
