Country star Terri Clark says her band thinks she needs therapy for her fishing addiction

Fox News ·

Country singer Terri Clark jokes that her band thinks her enthusiasm for fishing warrants therapy, as she practises knots on her tour bus and follows fishing videos on Instagram. The hobby is also taking her to a celebrity event on Old Hickory Lake, where she hopes to learn from professional bass anglers and see how their techniques compare with her own.

Clark will join The Champions Celebrity Pro-Am after a three-day competition featuring 60 anglers and a $3.25 million purse. She has fished Lake Erie for years, including landing and releasing a 16-pound northern pike in 2022, and hopes to catch a musky longer than 50 inches; wind and warm water disrupted her recent attempt. She is also keen to learn about fishing electronics and may mark productive spots on Old Hickory Lake for future kayak trips.

In short

  • Terri Clark jokes that her band thinks she needs therapy for fishing.
  • She will learn from top bass anglers at a Nashville-area pro-am.
