A couple attending Leeds Festival booked an 80-mile Uber to Creamfields in Cheshire after dance music sets at the festival's new Warehouse stage were repeatedly cancelled over crowd safety concerns. Aiden Warhurst and his partner appealed publicly for spare tickets when they found themselves without house music to enjoy, highlighting wider disruption caused by overcrowding issues at the newly introduced stage across both the Reading and Leeds sites.

The Warehouse, billed as a purpose-built home for dance music as part of the festival's biggest-ever staging overhaul, saw performances by Julian Fijma and a Skepta/East End Dubs back-to-back cut short or axed in Leeds, while Skepta's set with Prospa was cancelled in Reading alongside other acts including Riordan, Omar+, Locky, Alisha and Silva Bumpa. Warhurst said he was prepared to pay "whatever it takes", eventually securing last-minute Creamfields tickets for £300 each on top of a taxi fare he estimated at around £300. Reading & Leeds 2026 was headlined by Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C., Dave, RAYE, Charli XCX and Chase & Status, while Creamfields featured Eric Prydz, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia and Disclosure among others.
