Craig Kilborn Sets Directorial Debut ‘The Life Golden’ Starring Lauren German and Tom Byrne (EXCLUSIVE)
Craig Kilborn, best known for hosting 'The Late Late Show' on CBS from 1999 to 2004, is stepping behind the camera for his directorial debut with 'The Life Golden'. The independent murder mystery brings together an ensemble cast including Lauren German from 'Lucifer', Tom Byrne from 'The Crown', and Kevin Pollak, with supporting roles from Rainey Qualley, Ryan Francis, Matthew Wolf, and Thomas Dekker.
The film follows Griffin Fairhurst Gates, a reclusive former television personality living in the Hollywood Hills whose carefully maintained private existence is disrupted when a crime forces him out of isolation and into an unexpected murder investigation. The production, which Kilborn is also producing alongside Ryan Snovel, completed filming across Los Angeles and Oklahoma City after several years in development. The project is currently in post-production with a targeted 2027 release date.
