Sega is inviting registered players to participate in a limited multiplayer network test for Crazy Taxi: World Tour. Registration closes on 31 August, and the test itself runs for three days in mid-September. Access is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, though participation is geographically restricted to players in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions. Players must be at least 13 years old and create a Sega account to enter the draw; not all applicants will be selected.

The test focuses exclusively on online multiplayer functionality and will not include single-player or story content. Participants can compete in two modes: Pickup Race, which tasks six players with dropping off passengers against a timer, and Cops 'N' Cabbies, a team-based competitive variant. Both modes support ranked rankings, and players can rent custom lobbies to set their own rules. The test will offer two maps, six vehicle options, and four character choices, allowing players to customise their experience before the game's full release.
