Creed and Limp Bizkit, once bitter rivals, appeared to put their long-running feud behind them by co-headlining Creed's Summer of '99 and Beyond festival at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois. The two-day event marked a notable moment of reconciliation between bands that traded public jabs in the early 2000s, with both acts now enjoying a significant resurgence in popularity.

Day one, held on Saturday once wildfire smoke had cleared from the Chicago area, featured Puddle of Mudd, Kittie, Sevendust and Cypress Hill before Limp Bizkit closed with a 15-song set including "Break Stuff" and "Nookie", during which a screen briefly poked fun at Creed frontman Scott Stapp. Day two brought Hoobastank, Candlebox, Mammoth and Bush, ending with Creed's 14-song headline set featuring "With Arms Wide Open" and "My Sacrifice", capping a weekend that played on the bands' Interscope-era rivalry, including Stapp's unrealised challenge for Fred Durst to a boxing match.
