Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC delayed by two weeks “to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience”

Eurogamer · 2 hours ago

Pearl Abyss has delayed the release of Charting the Unknown, Crimson Desert's first post-launch DLC, by two weeks from 15th October to 29th October. The developer announced the postponement to allow additional development time to ensure a more polished and stable gameplay experience. The studio acknowledged player anticipation and apologised for the extended wait.

Charting the Unknown introduces new oceangoing adventures and explorable islands off the coast of Pywel, featuring new storylines for characters Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. The DLC includes several new systems: enhanced house-building mechanics, a facility management feature allowing players to generate income through rentals, and an NPC relationship-building system. The add-on will be priced at £19.99 in the UK (or $24.99 in the US) and will be available across all game versions except the Mac App Store edition.
