Ronaldo, one of the best-known footballers of his generation, has scored close to 1,000 goals in a career spanning clubs such as Sporting, Manchester United, Juventus and, currently, Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. He has also played at six World Cups, a record he shares with Lionel Messi. Georgina Rodríguez is a Spanish-Argentine model and social media influencer who has built a large public profile alongside him, including through a Netflix reality series about their family life.

The couple met around a decade ago at a Gucci shop in Madrid, where Rodríguez worked while Ronaldo played for Real Madrid. They have raised a large blended family together, including children from Ronaldo's earlier relationships and children they had together, and have long been one of the most closely followed celebrity couples in football, with millions of social media followers between them.

Their relationship has played out largely in public, from Ronaldo's moves between major European and Saudi clubs to Rodríguez's own media career, making any major milestone in their private life a significant moment for a global fanbase.
