Critical Role just announced a new Daggerheart campaign with D&D veteran at the helm
Critical Role has announced Reign of the Weredragon, a new actual-play miniseries using its Daggerheart role-playing system. The project matters because it will be led by Chris Perkins, a prominent former Dungeons & Dragons designer, and helps position Daggerheart as a major alternative in tabletop role-playing.
Perkins co-created the fairy-tale-inspired but eerie setting for Daggerheart’s first expansion, Hope & Fear, and will now introduce it through the series. The cast and release date have not yet been announced; the programme is expected to run alongside Critical Role’s main D&D-based campaign, while the current Daggerheart series Age of Umbra: Sallowlands continues until mid-August.
