CRO-MAGS Are ‘Almost Done’ With New Album: We Have ‘Nine Songs Tracked And Six More Songs’ Written

CRO-MAGS are close to finishing their next studio album, with frontman Harley Flanagan expecting it could arrive early next year. The record follows 2020’s “In The Beginning” and comes after the band released “Wired For Chaos” in June, their first new song in six years.

Nine songs have been recorded, with six more written and due to be tracked soon; Flanagan said that number could grow to eight. “Wired For Chaos” was recorded in the same session as the album’s other first eight tracks, and he described the new material as drawing on influences including Motörhead, Bad Brains, Discharge and Black Sabbath. The band is also due to release a re-recording of its 1986 debut, “The Age Of Quarrel: 40 Years Of Quarrel”, on 13 November.
