Rapper and actor Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has joined the television adaptation of the Payday video game series as an executive producer, Starbreeze Entertainment and Vice Studios have announced. He is attached through his production company, G-Unit Film and Television, and both he and the studios have framed the partnership as bringing an authentic, high-energy edge to the heist-genre franchise.

Jackson has extensive producing credits, including Fightland, The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets and Power Book IV: Force, alongside acting roles in films such as Den of Thieves and Southpaw, and an upcoming appearance as Balrog in the live-action Street Fighter movie. His involvement so far is limited to the executive producer role, and the show remains without a network or streaming home, cast, release date or plot details. Payday, first brought to television development with Vice in March, is based on Starbreeze's long-running co-op heist game series, whose most successful entry, Payday 2, still draws tens of thousands of daily players, while the 2023 launch of Payday 3 struggled following a troubled release.
