Cutting Edge Group (CEG) has acquired the music rights and royalty streams to composer Brian Tyler's catalogue of film and TV scores, in a deal it says is one of the largest ever for a single film and TV composer. Tyler is known for scoring the Fast & Furious franchise, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone universe, as well as composing Formula 1's official theme, making this a significant addition to CEG's rights portfolio and a further sign of confidence in film and TV music as an investment asset class.

The catalogue spans more than 60,000 minutes of music, accompanying films that have collectively grossed over $21 billion at the global box office over the past two decades. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition adds to CEG's existing holdings of more than 400,000 owned and managed media music rights, valued at over $1 billion, following recent deals including a joint venture with Warner Bros. Discovery, the acquisition of AMC Studios' TV music catalogue, and composer John Paesano's catalogue. Founded in 2006 and led by CEO Philip Moross, the UK-based company has completed around 30 acquisitions in four years.
