Cypress Hill's B-Real has spoken about the group's eleventh studio album, Dios Bendiga, released last week, which is the hip-hop group's first full-length Spanish-language album since their 1999 compilation Los Grandes Exitos En Español. In an interview, the 56-year-old rapper described the record as both a creative milestone and a deliberate show of solidarity with Latino communities amid current efforts to criminalise, marginalise and deport undocumented immigrants in the US, many of whom come from Latin American countries.

The album, recorded in late 2025 with B-Real, Sen Dog, DJ Muggs and Eric Bobo, consists entirely of original songs rather than Spanish translations of existing tracks, unlike their earlier compilation. What was initially planned as a quick project was extended to allow more time for the material to develop, taking around one to two months rather than the initial short deadline. B-Real said the response to the album, which opens with the track "Wacha Trucha", has exceeded expectations given it has been roughly 30 years since the group released a Spanish-language record.
