Daine’s Jungian Pop Music
Melbourne alt-pop artist Daine’s debut album, *In Endless Awe & Agony*, examines the pressures of the music industry and the tensions between creative ambition, commercial profit and personal desire. Its polished, sometimes gentle sound sits alongside unsettling themes, inviting listeners to question the glamour and lifestyles the music portrays.
The 11-track record was made with Curtis Pawley, Simon Lam and Darcy Baylis, and follows Daine’s music releases since 2020. Daine describes it as a “Jungian individuation arc”, shaped by subconscious reflection, and says the album rollout has been more emotionally demanding than expected. Their previous work includes collaborations with Oli Sykes, Ericdoa and Ninajirachi, and support slots for Yeule, 100 Gecs and Charli XCX.
