Dallas backs Charles to thrive at Fulham
Former Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas believes Shea Charles can succeed after joining Fulham for a record £30m, calling it beneficial for both player and club. The move gives the 22-year-old midfielder his first sustained opportunity in the Premier League and makes him Northern Ireland’s most expensive footballer.
Charles joined from Southampton after developing at Manchester City and spending time on loan at Sheffield Wednesday; he has won 35 international caps. Dallas said Northern Ireland have increasingly built their side around Charles, while also backing Ethan Galbraith, who has moved from Swansea to Stoke, to flourish if used in his preferred midfield or wide roles.
