Daniel Donato’s new live album, *Cosmic Country: Ryman to Robert’s*, is presented as a vivid showcase for his evolution from teenage Nashville guitar prodigy to established bandleader. Recorded across two venues central to his career, it pairs a full Ryman Auditorium performance with a late-night return to Robert’s Western World, underscoring both his roots and his broader musical ambitions.

Released as a three-disc, three-hour-and-18-minute set, the album was recorded on 22 August 2025 and contains 20 Ryman songs followed by eight honky-tonk performances at Robert’s. The review highlights extended improvisations on tracks including the 15-minute “Fortunate Sparrow”, “Hangman’s Reel” and “Dance in the Desert”, alongside the interplay between Donato and Cosmic Country members Nathan Aronowitz, Will McGee and William Clark.
