Actors Daniel Ings and Jessica Brown Findlay have been cast to lead "The Two Week Wait," a short film marking the directorial debut of actor Olivia Grant. The project, which Grant also wrote, explores the emotional toll of IVF through a woman experiencing dissociative episodes as her mental health deteriorates, alongside her well-meaning but hapless boyfriend.

The film co-stars Fenella Woolgar, Rick Warden and Sophie Colquhoun, and is produced through Grant's new company Cavalry Films alongside Symphony Films, run by Rebecca Night and Harry Hadden-Paton. Grant said the story grew out of her own struggles with infertility during the Covid pandemic, when she wrote a 30,000-word diary about the experience that later informed the script. The short, premiering at the Indy Shorts Film Festival, serves as a proof of concept for a planned feature, "Baby Mine," slated for 2027 with Ings and Brown Findlay attached.
