It comes amid a Daily Mail investigation alleging he pressured young women appearing in his videos into restrictive contracts for sexualised content while taking a large cut of their earnings, and separate claims from former classmates that he bullied and mocked pupils with learning difficulties at school.

The report traces Doherty's rise from a comfortable upbringing in a $1.2million home in Sea Cliff, Long Island, where he began posting prank and stunt videos at 13, to his current status as a controversial internet personality surrounded by supercars, private jets and models. Former employees and classmates describe a pattern of exploitative behaviour and a "menace" reputation at North Shore middle and high school, while this is not his first arrest — he was previously detained in Miami Beach in November on drug possession and resisting arrest charges. Doherty has not responded to the latest allegations and has previously denied claims relating to the models he manages.
