Dave Grohl and Pat Smear Bring Some Foo Fighters Style to the Pretty Reckless’ ‘About You’

Rolling Stone ·

Dave Grohl and Pat Smear have joined Taylor Momsen and the Pretty Reckless on a new version of “About You”, adding a Foo Fighters-style sound to the band’s song. The collaboration gives the track a new arrangement while keeping its original high-energy rock character.

Smear and Grohl contribute guitar, Grohl plays drums and adds backing vocals alongside Momsen. She said the song was a favourite from the band’s fifth album, *Dear God*, released in June, and that she invited the musicians to help make it special. The band is due to begin a European and UK tour in Madrid on 9 November, ending in Glasgow on 3 December.
