Dave Grohl “Broke Down in Tears” After Performing with AC/DC
Dave Grohl said he broke down in tears after joining AC/DC on stage to perform “Highway to Hell” at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Foo Fighters frontman described the performance as a defining, full-circle moment because AC/DC had inspired him when he was 11.
Grohl was supporting AC/DC with Foo Fighters at the 2 October concert when singer Brian Johnson invited him to join the band. He said his wife watched from the side of the stage and that it was the loudest stage he had ever stood on. The appearance followed Grohl filling in for Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless at two AC/DC tour dates.
