NME · 4 hours ago

Dave headlined Reading Festival 2026, returning to the top of the bill for the first time since 2022. His musically varied set featured guest appearances from James Blake, Kano and Central Cee, underlining his position as one of UK rap’s leading live performers as his ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp’ world tour nears its end.

Blake joined Dave for ‘Both Sides Of A Smile’, while Kano performed ‘Three P’s*’ and ‘Chapter 16’; Central Cee appeared for their 2023 hit ‘Sprinter’. The 17-song set also included ‘Thiago Silva’, introduced with a ‘Seven Nation Army’ guitar riff, and ended with fireworks during ‘Starlight’ and ‘Raindance’; Dave’s latest album, released last October, is nominated for the Mercury Prize.

  • Dave headlined Reading with three prominent guest performers.
  • Kano, James Blake and Central Cee joined key songs.
  • His Mercury-nominated album anchored the set.
