David Byrne has announced a five-date UK tour to promote his forthcoming book, *Sleeping Beauties*, beginning in London on 8 November and ending in Edinburgh on 13 November. The Talking Heads frontman will discuss why artistic and scientific breakthroughs can be overlooked before being rediscovered, while donating his tour fees to the Rocksteady Foundation, which provides free music lessons for children.

Published by Penguin Random House on 8 October, *Sleeping Beauties* examines overlooked ideas, technologies and artists, from dark matter and continental drift to Bach and Vermeer. The tour also includes dates in Brighton, Manchester and Bristol, following Byrne’s recent UK and European performances supporting his album *Who Is The Sky?*.
