David Ellison says Paramount Skydance expects to complete its Warner Bros. Discovery merger in approximately two weeks, after reaching settlements with 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America. The agreements remove the main legal obstacles, though Ellison stressed that closing the deal will begin a lengthy integration process involving two large companies.

The settlements include commitments to produce more than 30 films annually and expand film production in the United States. Ellison presented the merger as a way to create more opportunities for creative workers and production crews, increase entertainment output and strengthen Hollywood, while acknowledging employees’ uncertainty about their future roles and working arrangements.
