David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Sequel Gets Official Release Update
Netflix has confirmed that David Fincher’s sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood will be titled The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The film matters because it continues Tarantino’s story without him directing: Fincher is directing from Tarantino’s script, with Brad Pitt returning as the Oscar-winning stuntman Cliff Booth.
The sequel moves from the original film’s 1969 setting to a “very different Hollywood” in 1977, and also features Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. It will receive an exclusive two-week global IMAX run from 25 November before arriving on Netflix on 23 December; Tarantino has not yet announced his own tenth and reportedly final directing project.

Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood is a 2019 film set in Los Angeles in 1969, as the film industry was changing. It follows actor Rick Dalton and his stunt double, Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt, whose performance earned him an Academy Award.
Quentin Tarantino wrote and directed the original film. The sequel continues the story with Pitt returning as Cliff, but David Fincher is directing from Tarantino’s script; its setting shifts to Hollywood in 1977. It is part of Tarantino’s wider film-making story, as he has said he plans to make ten films, though he has not announced his next directing project.
