Davies hamstring injury deepens Cardiff crisis
Isaak Davies will miss four weeks with a hamstring injury, adding to Cardiff City’s growing list of absentees. The timing is difficult for the Championship side, who are trying to recover from a 3-0 defeat at Wolves and host West Ham on Wednesday.
Cardiff were already without four centre-backs at Wolves, with Gabriel Osho suspended, and finished with midfielder Joel Colwill and winger Ollie Tanner covering at full-back. Manager Brian Barry-Murphy said Krystian Bielik may be available, while Perry Ng, Alex Robertson and Will Fish were being assessed; Rubin Colwill’s return was a positive. Callum Robinson was left out for a third straight match, and Barry-Murphy declined to explain why.
In short
- Isaak Davies is out for four weeks with a hamstring injury.
- Cardiff have several other players facing fitness checks.
- Cardiff host West Ham on Wednesday after losing 3-0 at Wolves.
